The Independent Neurorehabilitation Providers Alliance (INPA) — representing 19 providers and approximately 58 clinical units — has recommended SASNOS for inclusion in the UK Rehabilitation Outcomes Collaborative (UKROC) database.
This database is used by NHS England to support outcome monitoring, funding models, and service evaluation.
Given that the independent sector delivers around 70% of the 4,600 specialist neurorehabilitation beds in the UK (with the NHS as the main commissioner), this recommendation underscores the national-level clinical relevance of SASNOS.
In 2018, the Professional Practice Committee of the Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine section of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) — representing a membership of over 1.6 million professionals — also recommended SASNOS for use in goal setting and assessment within clinical care.
